Oil Analysis

Oil analysis reveals root cause problems that, left unchecked would shorten the life of machinery: water-in-oil, abrasive particles-in-oil, degraded oil, low oil level, wrong oil, seal leakage, and poor lubricant delivery. Correction of any of these problems will dramatically lengthen machine life. Abnormal wear usually manifests as either corrosive wear, abrasive wear, fatigue wear, or adhesive wear. These wear debris are identified using oil analysis and corresponding corrective actions can be recommended.

Our Industrial Oil Analyser combines a range of tests into one piece of equipment, including dielectric measurement, magnetic differentiation of wear particles, water detection, laser particle counting, and the ability to make wear debris filter patches for microscopic examination. Wear Debris Analysis permits immediate identification of the type and source of contaminants or wear debris particles through visual examination. Often, this information is the key to finding and eliminating root causes of recurring problems that shorten machine life.
